Why we created BugScentsTM
Bed bugs are an escalating global problem, driven by increased travel and growing resistance to traditional control methods.
In the UK hospitality sector alone, reported bed bug cases rose by 278% over the two years leading up to early 2024, and cases continue to rise.
The challenge is equally acute in the United States, where 9 out of 10 hotels report dealing with bed bugs in the past year. With 1 in 7 travellers encountering bed bugs while away, the risk of infestations being unknowingly transported into homes, hotels and workplaces has never been higher. These trends make early, reliable monitoring essential to prevent small problems from becoming costly, reputation-damaging outbreaks.
